First — and probably last — ride with Road-Master.

I had heard good things about Roadmaster.pk from many people, so I decided to try it myself. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be disappointing. I went to Niazi Adda, Band Road Lahore at around 12:00 PM to book a ticket for Islamabad. there was an unusual rush. All immediate departures were sold out at nearby bus companies. Eventually, I booked a 6:00 PM Road Master ticket through Bookme.pk . The ticket was shown as Rs 1,865 (discounted from Rs 2,000), but at the time of payment, Rs 2,222 was charged, with no explanation provided. After booking, the waiting phase began. I waited from 12:00 PM till 6:00 PM in a dirty and unpleasant waiting area (sub terminal, the same is used by Niazi Express), expecting the bus to arrive on time. At 5:30 PM, I asked the staff about the bus and was told it was on the way. At 6:00 PM, the scheduled departure time, they said the bus would be 10 minutes late. By 6:30 PM, I called their helpline, which was completely unhelpful and provided a number that was not reachable. At 7:00 PM, I contacted Bookme, and they said my complaint had been forwarded and asked me to wait. At 7:30 PM, a Road Master bus finally arrived, but passengers were then told that this bus was a different class, and the correct one was still coming. After more waiting and confusion, our bus arrived & we finally left the terminal more than two hours after the scheduled departure time. Instead of reaching Islamabad at the expected time of 10:40 PM, we arrived at Faizabad at 1:30 AM, which created serious problems. Because of the late arrival, my hostel was already closed. It was raining heavily, taxis were limited, and fares were unusually high. As a result, I was forced to spend the entire night at the bus terminal, stuck there for another six hours. Delays can happen, but what is unacceptable is the complete lack of communication. such a Reputable company should have a backup plan. Had this delay been communicated earlier, I could have planned accordingly. Instead, there were no updates, no apology, no backup plan, and no compensation for the trouble caused. No other issues with Road-Master other than this late departure problem.
